The new “Noah” movie is likely to sink

Noah Poster

I was impressed when I saw the trailer for the upcoming movie, “Noah,” with Russell Crowe. It looked like Hollywood was going to give us something resembling the Bible narrative – complete with a supernatural gathering of animals.

I was wrong.

Apparently, this Noah gets the help of the fallen angels known as the Watchers (better known as the fathers of the giants in Genesis 6) in order to build the Ark and stay safe when he comes under attack. The Watchers are portrayed as six-armed scary guys, I guess. Perhaps this is a nod to the Bible’s portrayal of the throne angels known as seraphs.

There’s lots more that’s wrong with the new movie from a biblical standpoint. But that foray into evil supernaturalism should be enough to keep Bible believers far away. Why pay money to see Judaism and Christianity perverted one more time?

Reactions to audience screenings in the U. S. were said to be “worrisome.”

Hollywood can’t figure out that we like the BIble we’ve already got.
